Owen Lynch
HCPC MCSP BSc (Hons)

Chartered Physiotherapist  specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Having qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2001, following a brief career in finance in the City of London, Owen really wanted to become a Physio! He has worked in private practice since 2010 having spent formative and important years working across the NHS including critical care, stroke rehab, post surgical rehab and musculoskeletal outpatients. This extensive medical experience working with doctors, nurses and health professionals ensures that the work of Trust Physio complements the treatments that our clients receive on the NHS. It also contributes to the high professional standards and safety that you can expect from Trust Physio.

Owen’s clients speak highly of the effectiveness of his manual therapy skills in quickly reducing pain and improving movement and function. Owen is passionate about keeping his clients “in the game”, whether that is sports, work or just enjoying everyday life without pain and dysfunction. Whilst not wanting to load his clients up with lots of homework, Owen works with his clients to enable them to understand and self manage their condition with appropriate exercises and stretching.

Owen works closely with neurological and orthopaedic surgeons working in private practice to ensure continuity of care for clients who require surgery or corticosteroid injections for their condition.  Owen can also liaise with your GP regarding medication or onward referral to complement other treatment.

Claire Lynch

Chartered Physiotherapist  specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
and Pilates Instructor 

Claire has worked in the NHS and Private Practice having qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1996. She spent her foundation years in Basingstoke and Nottingham NHS hospitals working in critical care, stroke rehab, post surgical rehab and orthopaedic outpatient clinics. She combined this work with neuro-musculoskeletal rehab at the Circle Health, Park Hospital in Nottingham.

Claire’s professional experience in the NHS and private sector ensures that the work of Trust Physio complements the treatments that our clients receive on the NHS. It also contributes to the high professional standards and safety that you can expect from Trust Physio.

As well as being an experienced Physiotherapist, Claire is a Pilates instructor. Pilates is an exercise format that improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and posture. Claire teaches pilates in a group setting, and also incorporates these principles in her approach to Physiotherapy.

Ed Ames
HCPC MCSP BSc (Hons)

Chartered Physiotherapist  specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Ed qualified as a Physiotherapist after studying at the University of the West of England here in Bristol. Physiotherapy was a natural choice for Ed, who had previously worked in rehabilitation with people who had suffered brain injuries.

Ed has had experience in the NHS and private practice for six years dealing with the range of muscle-skeletal conditions that stop people enjoying an active and healthy lifestyle. His clients speak highly of his manual therapy skills and his ability to prescribe exercise programmes that are effective and simple to do without being onerous.

Ed also works as a Physiotherapist for AXA Healthcare in Bristol on their assessment and telephone triage service. He uses his professional experience and assessment skills to ensure his clients get the right treatment as fast as possible.

Ed is a keen amateur sportsman playing squash and running with his dog Monty. He has competed in a number of mountain running endurance events so you could say he has experienced his fair share of aches and pains!

Aileen Curtis
HCPC MCSP PGCert POGP 

Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Pelvic Physiotherapy

Aileen is a specialist pelvic health Physiotherapist, having completed a post graduate certificate in continence for physiotherapists at Bradford University. She has also qualified to be a full member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) professional network.

Aileen has worked as a physiotherapist in the NHS for over 30 years and specialised in pelvic health physiotherapy in 2000 after having 3 children.

Aileen is currently a team lead pelvic physiotherapist with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston. She has a wealth of experience helping women and men improve issues regarding their bladder, bowel, pelvic pain, sexual health as well as supporting women during pregnancy and recovery from childbirth.

Aileen complements her NHS work with offering specialist pelvic physiotherapy in the private sector. She works closely with other medical professionals including GPs to ensure continuity of care.

Aileen’s clients say that she puts them at ease to discuss sensitive topics and helps them to understand their condition, improve their quality of life and confidence to do everyday activities. Her expertise and professionalism draws recommendation from GPs and Surgical Consultants.
